Jazmin Chavez was born and raised in Houston, Texas, where she faced significant challenges early in life. Losing her mother at just six years old, Jazmin was raised by her single immigrant father, who taught her resilience and the value of hard work. Even as a child, Jazmin took on responsibilities beyond her years, often translating important matters for her father, though she didn't always fully grasp their complexities. Growing up in a Hispanic community that viewed asking for help as a sign of weakness, she learned that there was always a solution for every problem. Her father’s favorite saying, "El que quiere, puede" (He who perseveres, succeeds), became a guiding principle in her life.
Initially pursuing a career as a personal injury attorney, Jazmin discovered her true calling in estate planning. The passing of her father in 2022 prompted her to shift away from the fast-paced, impersonal world of litigation toward a more compassionate and personalized approach. Now dedicated to estate planning, Jazmin focuses on educating and guiding her clients to protect their legacies and secure their families' futures

A PERSONAL REFLECTION
In 2022, my father passed away suddenly from an aneurysm. There were no warnings. Just shock, confusion, and deep grief. We couldn't grasp that the man we all relied on, the one that was always going to be there... wasn't. In the midst of our loss, questions began to surface: Who would receive what? What happens next? Whispers of division threatened to take root. Fortunately, my father had raised us with strong values. We chose peace over conflict. But, we realized how easily things could have gone differently.
Thankfully, my father had prepared an estate plan. True to his character, he made sure we were taken care of, especially in his absence. That single act of preparation spared us from arguments, confusion, and unnecessary pain. It was one last way he showed us how deeply he loved us.
That experience taught me a powerful truth: estate planning isn’t about fearing death. Estate Planning is about loving your family enough to prepare. When you have a plan in place, you leave no room for the enemy to prowl.
